PRISM Automated Observation frozen
Posté : 13 nov. 2024, 05:51
Good Evening,
Tonight 11/12/24 our team noticed that during an automated observation of an exoplanet, the PRISM automated observation froze. The problem is similar to an issue we reported during flats processing when automated observations would just hang and not perform any additional functions. In this case the automated observations commanded a dome reset, this was successfully completed but when the intern came back noticed that the automated observations was stuck in that configuration and when the intern attempted to release PRISM, it would not release the session. Attached is the event log and the automated observations setup (will be active for 30-days). The intern had to restart the entire session, unfortunately, we missed the exoplanet transit due to this error and will have to wait another 3 days or when the weather clears to try to monitor again.

if you need beta testers to test, please let us know, no change in hardware or software. My team reports this is the 10th time automated observations has frozen but the 1st time its frozen during an automated run with images.
