I have had the free trial version in for a week now. I am not entirely sure how to use it. What could a beginner do to get started?

Thanks for the help

What a complicated question :-)
You can either achieve nices images or achieve more advanced tasks...
A full demo of PRISM would require many days. There are some youtube video in English that shows how to use it.

My free trial will be up soon, and I am not encouraged at all to pay the high price for this. There is very little help here or on other forums that is keeping me interested.

As you want, you are totally free.

Yes, I am free, this Prism forum is terrible, I have no reason to buy Prism.

I would not say terrible! Prism software is great, and there is a great support from other users.
But indeed, you are free.

I still am not impressed. The system is not easy to use at all. It is poorly explained and when I needed help there was none.

Poorly explained? How much more videos do you need? And as far as i can see: your only question is:
What could a beginner do to get started?

What would you like to do with it? What is your purpose of the software?
I'm sure we can get you up and running...

I do appreciate your posts now, but I have moved on. I really needed help 2 months ago. I have a Tele Vue NP127is with everything I need to start doing astrophotography. Considering the high cost of Prism, I expected much better support.

I do not know what kind of support you need ?
We do not anymore write endless book of documentation, this is very tedious for both the writer and the reader. We have noticed (web stat) that people reads less and less such manuals.
There's Youtube tutorials that are very efficient to learn it.
Both English and French. I think French videos are "deeper," I do not know whether you can have subtitles...
